<p>The absorption of gamma-rays is measured in a wavelength range which is sensitive to absorption by sulphur compounds (i) sensitive to the density of the liquid (ii). From the results the sulphur content is calculated in accordance with a correlation formula, using automatically operating calculating apparatus. If required, the measurement results are converted into signals suitable for processing in that apparatus, adding the results and signals. Specifically, the wave band area for (i) is from 0.5 - 2 angstroms E and for (ii) from 0.01 - 0.05 angstroms E, and the radiation sources are resp. 3H/Zr and 137 Cs. The formula is given in general terms.</p> |
