A liquid filter assembly including a first liquid filter; a second differ ent liquid filter element; a housing and a relief valve. The liquid filter a ssembly forms a first liquid flow path having the first liquid filter elemen t therein, and a second liquid flow path having the second liquid filter ele ment therein. The first liquid filter element forms a mixing chamber in a ce nter of the first liquid filter element for mixing the liquid filtered by th e first liquid filter element and the liquid filtered by the second liquid f ilter element. The relief valve is configured to allow liquid to bypass the second liquid flow path to mix with liquid filtered by the first liquid filt er element in the mixing chamber.
