METHOD FOR OUT-OF-FURNACE TREATMENT OF UNKILLED STEEL

The invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, in particular to treatment of unkilled steel in ladles with volume more than 150 t. A method comprises the outlet of not-deoxidated metal in the ladle, deoxidation in the ladle by low-silicon ferromanganese or briquettes on its base (with content of silicon not more than 4 %) and blowing or smelting through sliding shutter of the ladle. A mixture of technically pure nitrogen and oxygen is used as a blowing gas, where volumetric content of oxygen is selected depending on content of silicon in ferromanganese accordingly to set ratio. Owing to improvement it is possible to lower size of steel overheating before outlet, to lower consumption of deoxidizing agents.
