The invention provides a heat-sensitive recording material with enhanced color developing sensitivity maintaining heat resistance and image storage stability characteristics such as plasticizer resistance and water resistance. The present invention provides a heat-sensitive recording material including at least a substrate and a heat-sensitive color developing layer containing a leuco dye and developers on the front surface of the substrate, wherein as the developers 4-hydroxy-4'-allyloxydiphenyl sulfone is used in combination with a first diphenyl compound represented by formula (1) and/or a second diphenyl compound represented by formula (2).
