<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always activate titanium oxide. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with a paper-made pleat filter 1 formed to trap large dirt floating in the air, a deodorizing filter 2 which is provided on the downstream of the paper-made pleat filter 1 and has numerous honeycomb cores while being applied on the side of the internal surface of a through hole with a specified chemical substance and an activated charcoal which decompose formaldehyde and acetaldehyde to be turned odorless, photocatalytic filters 3 and 3', comprising numerous honeycombs, which are arranged in one pair per two on the downstream side of the deodorizing filter 2 and applied on the side of the internal surface of a through hole formed with the honeycombs with activated carbon particles 6 and titanium dioxide particles 7 knead and an ultraviolet radiation lamp 5 which is set between the two photocatalytic filters 3 and 3' and so formed as to irradiate each of the photocatalytic filters 3 and 3' with ultraviolet rays. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
