<p>In a building construction project a heavy hose bearing e.g. liquid concrete is deployed over a horizontal steel mat, from which it is separated at intervals by cup-shaped slide pads made of plastic or metal. The lower face of the support-slide is essentially convex to facilitate easy movement over an irregular surface. The cup rim has semi-circular detents on opposite sides, and wire clip or strap fittings that retain the hose within the semi-circular detents.</p> |
