A robotic camera dolly (5 see fig 1) comprises a column (20 see fig 1) and a base 10 with a suspension 59 that couples two caster wheels 35, 36 to the base in a manner that provides a greater compliance with respect to common motion of the caster wheels than with respect to differential motion of the caster wheels. The suspension 59 gives the dolly the rigid stance of a suspension having four points of support, with the stability of a suspension having only three points of support. |
