A mask, a seal pattern forming apparatus and a method for manufacturing a flat panel display by using the same are provided to enable a mask to be spaced from a display area of a substrate and closely contacted only with a non-display area, thereby preventing a defect caused by contact between the mask and the display area. A mask is formed to be spaced from a display area(112) on a substrate(150) and closely contacted with a non-display area(114). The mask comprises a seal pattern mask(140) and a buffer mask(170). The seal pattern mask has an opening for exposing a seal pattern area(116). The buffer mask is interposed between the seal pattern mask and the substrate. The buffer mask is closely contacted with a non-display area except the seal pattern area on the substrate. The seal pattern mask is spaced from the display area on the substrate. |
