A pole changing type synchronous motor is provided to enhance a characteristic by allowing a rotor to reach a synchronous speed rapidly in comparison with intensity of a current applied to an exciting pole. A pole changing type synchronous motor(100) includes a stator(110), a rotor(120), a magnet layer(130), and first and second exciting poles(140,150). In the stator, motor coils(112) are wound around a plurality of teeth(111). The rotor is installed to rotate from the stator and includes a plurality of conductors(122). The magnet layer is installed to have the teeth and pores at the rotor and is made of magnetic material which is magnetized again. The first and second exciting poles are installed between the teeth of the stator respectively to face each other along a diametric direction of the rotor while interposing the rotor, are arranged adjacently to the magnet layer, are wound by exciting coils(141,151), and simultaneously perform magnetization to arrange poles from both sides on the magnet layer alternately.
