<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic resin bottle which is hardly slid when it is tilted with its waist held and can suppress the lowering of buckling strength and decompression strength. <P>SOLUTION: This bottle 1 is provided with a tubular body 2 on the whole periphery of which a waist 20 receding inward in the bottle diameter direction is formed. The waist 20 has protrusive ribs 22 extending in the axial direction of the bottle.
