METHOD FOR REGENERATING EXISTING PIPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regenerate an existing pipe while quality is secured by heating a lining pipe surely to a necessary temperature even when permeation water exists in the existing pipe. SOLUTION: The lining pipe 1 made of a thermoplastic resin which is formed to have an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the existing pipe K embedded under the ground is covered with a waterproof sheet 2 formed in the shape of a cylinder having a diameter approximately equal to the inner diameter of the existing pipe K and inserted into the existing pipe K. Next, after the lining pipe 1 is expanded by being heated/pressurized to make the lining pipe 1 be adhered to the inner circumference surface of the existing pipe K via the waterproof sheet 2, the restored/expanded lining pipe 1 is cooled while being pressurized to be fixed to the inner circumference surface of the existing pipe K. The lining pipe 1 is prevented from keeping contact with the permeation water since it is covered with the waterproof sheet 2, so that an insufficient temperature increase by heating can be prevented surely.
