PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide burst communication equipment capable of quickly returning an acknowledgment frame when an error does not occur in a communication path in a burst communication system using an error correction code. SOLUTION: In the burst communication equipment, a detecting means 11 detects whether there is an error in a reception frame. A correcting means 13 corrects an error of the reception frame. An analyzing means 12 analyzes the kind of the reception frame. A first generating means 14 generates an acknowledgment frame for normal transfer. A second generating means 16 generates an acknowledgment frame for normal transfer. A transmitting means 15 determines which to transfer between an acknowledgment frame for burst transfer generated by the first generating means and an acknowledgment frame for normal transfer generated by the second generating means by information from the correcting means to transmit the determined acknowledgment frame when transmitting an acknowledgment frame by an instruction from the analyzing means.
