PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which retains high durability and high sensitivity characteristic, avoids occurrence of white spots, and produces no density difference in a halftone image portion even if exposed to indoor light. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor is obtained by sequentially disposing a charge generating layer and a charge transport layer on a conductive support, wherein the charge transport layer contains a charge transport material of a benzidine structure having a specific substituent and a charge transport material in which, on a carbocyclic group which links up indirectly with the N atom of a triarylamine group and exists farthest, the value of maximum electron density on carbon atoms of HOMO electron density distribution obtained by semiempirical molecular orbital calculation using an AM1 parameter is≤0.01, and the electron transport layer has an absorbance atλ=420 nm of≥1.
