PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas meter capable of getting an amount of an environmental load substance discharged from a gas appliance used in each house, and capable of providing information for facing a problem of reducing a discharge amount of the environmental load substance in each house. SOLUTION: This gas meter is provided with a flow measuring means 14 for measuring a flow rate of gas flowing in a gas pipe line 13, an environmental load substance converting means 19 for calculating the amount of the environmental load substance, based on flow rate information measured by the flow measuring means 14, a totalizing means for totalizing conversion values in the environmental load substance converting means 19, and a data transfer means 21 for transferring data thereof, and the gas meter can control and totalize thereby the load substances onto an environment discharged from the gas appliances 15, 16, 17 used in the respective houses, and the environmental load substance can be at grips to be reduced in each house.
