PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of filling a rear surface of an embedded pipe body, which minimizes an influence on a track and ground. SOLUTION: According to the method, a soil improving body 2A is constructed in a predetermined range in the ground 2 under the track 20, and a region consisting of a cross section of a steel element 10 and part of the soil improving body 2A above the cross section, is excavated, followed by setting the steel element 10 having cylindrical bags 30 fixed to upper predetermined locations, in the excavated region. Then shrinkage-compensating mortar 31 is filled in the cylindrical bags 30 of the steel element 10 to be inflated, and the inflated cylindrical bags 30 are brought into intimate contact with a lower surface 2a of the ground 2 to support the ground 2 above the steel element 10, followed by filling a back-filling material 40 into a rear surface gap S defined by the filled cylindrical bags 30, 30.
