PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jib crane also usable as a traveling low-floor jib crane by converting by removing a support tower at the uppermost floor of a skeleton of a structure and assembling a traveling carriage under the crane body after it is used as a climbing crane. SOLUTION: This jib crane comprises a support base 2, a support tower 4 formed by mutually joining mast segments vertically supported on the support base 2, an outer mast 6 fitted to and supported by the support tower 4 and having a climbing mechanism, and a crane body 10 supported at the top of the outer mast 6 with a swing mechanism stationary support frame 20 interposed therebetween. The climbing mechanism is operated at the uppermost floor of the structural skeleton to lower and assemble the crane body 10 on a traveling carriage 40 to be assembled under the crane body. The jib crane can be converted from a tower type to a traveling one by removing the outer mast 6, the support tower 4, and the support base 2 by a self-lifting function. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
