PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a printer and unerringly transport printing mediums. SOLUTION: A front guide 220 and a rear guide 230 are provided on the front and the rear of a platen portion 120 arranged on the top face 112 of a printer 100 which forms a transport route. A print head 130 is arranged above the platen portion 120, moves in the direction intersecting with the transport direction at right angles and prints in a passbook on the platen portion 120. On the platen portion 120, a movable guide 300 is arranged above one side of the clearance between the front and the rear guides 220 and 230 and a central guide 210 provided at the tip of the print head 130 is arranged above the other side. The movable guide 300 ascends from the side of the rear guide 230 to the platen portion 120 along the transport direction and then descends and moves to the platen portion 120.
