An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device is provided to form a pattern spacer to not only the display area but non-display area about a black matrix area by a regular interval integrally and to maintain a cell gap effectively. First and the second substrates are divided into a display area(300) and a non-display area(310). A large number of first electrode parts are formed on the first substrate. The second electrode part is faced to the first substrate and arranged to cross at right angles with the first electrode part. The display area is formed on the intersecting area of the first and the second electrode part. The red(R), green(G) and blue(B) color filters(124) are formed corresponding to the sub-pixel area of the display area and the dummy sub-pixel area of the non-display area. A black matrix(122) prevents the light leakage generated between the front side of the non-display area and the color filter of the display area. A planarization layer is formed on the color filter and the black matrix. Plural pattern spacers(130) are formed to maintain the cell gap with the first substrate. A liquid crystal is formed between the first and the second substrate. The pattern spacer is formed at regular interval corresponding to the black matrix area between the green color filter pattern and the blue color filter pattern among the red, green, and blue color filters of the display area and the non-display area. |
