Methods for treating, preventing or reducing nasal congestion associated with allergic rhinitis in a hepatically impaired patient are provided. Methods may involve administering to a patient suffering from hepatic insufficiency a therapeutically effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition comprising loratadine and montelukast or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of montelukast.
