<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a residual toner amount in a toner container and the presence or absence of the toner container with a simple configuration in a copying machine and a composite machine. <P>SOLUTION: The toner container 23 with the toner stored therein and a switch magnet 33 are disposed in the image forming apparatus main body 15 having an opening/closing door 17. The toner container 23 includes a container-side magnet 29 that is disposed facing the outside thereof, and moved up and down in accordance with a toner storage level. The switch magnet 33 is disposed in the image forming apparatus main body 15 so that it can attract the container-side magnet 29 from above the container-side magnet 29. The switch magnet 33 functions as a switching operation source of the opening/closing door 17 with the displacement thereof from a container-side magnet 29 attracting position to a prescribed home position separated from the container-side magnet 29. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
