PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bending press for manufacturing a tube, which can achieve improved bending of a metal sheet. SOLUTION: In a bending press 1 for bending metal sheet 2 in manufacturing a tube from the metal sheet 2, the metal sheet 2 extending along a longitudinal axis L is bent to at least one side area 3. The bending press 1 has a bending tool comprising at least a pair of members which are combined in action with at least one force generating factor 5. The force, which acts between both members 4a and 4b of the bending tool and is generated by the force generating factor 5, is transferred through at least one through bolt 6. In order to make an improved force flux available at the time of adjusting the width of the metal sheet to be processed, the members 4a and 4b of the bending tool including the force generating factor 5 and the through bolt 6 are movably and fixedly arranged across the longitudinal axis L of the metal sheet 2 on supports 7 extending across at least one longitudinal axis L.
