GREASE COMPOSITION FOR CONSTANT-VELOCITY JOINT AND CONSTANT-VELOCITY JOINT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grease composition improving the temperature-rise-suppressive tendency of the constant-velocity joint containing the composition within the range of service temperature of 150°C to -40°C and reducing low-temperature rotating torque, thus improving the boot resistance of the joint, and to provide such a constant-velocity joint which seals-in the grease composition. SOLUTION: The grease composition comprises (A) a base oil comprising 10-95 wt.% of an ester-based synthetic oil produced from an aliphatic alcohol and an aromatic carboxylic acid and 90-5 wt.% of a synthetic hydrocarbon oil, (B) a thickening agent, (C) molybdenum disulfide, (D) molybdenum sulfurized dialkyl dithiocarbamate and (E) zinc dithiophosphate.
