PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treatment method which enables the formation of an emboss pattern selectable from various variations on the surface of a molded product by a simple process without depending on working a mold and a three-dimensional pattern having a high-quality feel on the surface of the resin by further providing the emboss pattern with metallic decoration. SOLUTION: By conducting the insert molding that uses an emboss transfer film having projections formed on a base material film as an insert material by a thick printing layer, recesses are formed on the surface of the molded product so that the projections by the thick printing layer may be transferred, and after the insert molding the thick printing layer together with the base material film or the base material film alone is stripped off and removed from the molded product.
