摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a static electricity withstanding property for a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: A first substrate and a second substrate are placed opposite to each other via a liquid crystal. A light transmitting conductive film is disposed on the side of the second substrate opposite to the liquid crystal. A peripheral circuit 150 is arranged on the outside of a pixel region 13 with pixel electrodes arranged thereon on the first substrate. Moreover a dummy wire 168 is arranged on the outside of the pixel region 13, and the dummy wire 168 is positioned closer to the outside edge of the substrate than the peripheral circuit 150, is arranged independent of the peripheral circuit 150 as a circuit, and is grounded on the outside of the first substrate. Or the dummy wire is connected to a power supply wire via a protective resistance. Or the power supply wire to be connected to a control terminal of a circuit element is connected to the control terminal via the protective resistance on the peripheral circuit.
