PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency in a defrosting operation in a refrigerating device performing the defrosting operation for defrosting a plurality of use-side heat exchangers by operating a high stage-side compressor. SOLUTION: In starting the defrosting operation, only the high stage-side compressors 41, 42, 43 are operated, and solenoid valves SV-2, SV-4 of bypass pipes 119, 139 are opened. When the termination of defrosting of cooling heat exchangers 83, 93 is detected, the solenoid valves SV-2, SV-4 of the bypass pipes 119, 139 corresponding to the cooling heat exchangers 83, 93 are controlled to be closed.
