PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection control device for an internal combustion engine, preventing a drop of engine torque accompanied by operation of a booster mechanism and improving drivability. SOLUTION: In a common rail type internal combustion engine provided with the booster mechanism, a target injection amount setting map is provided for setting a target injection amount from the engine speed of the internal combustion engine and an accelerator opening. In the same accelerator opening characteristic line striding over a threshold operating the booster mechanism among the same accelerator opening characteristic lines shown in the target injection amount setting map, the degree of variation in the target injection amount is set to be increased more than the degree of variation in a target injection amount of less than the threshold within a range from the threshold to a predetermined target injection amount q.
