A cooking device and a method for using the same are provided to perform a cooking operation on an exact time even if an external power is instantaneously cut off. A cooking device includes a controller(1). The cooking device includes a heating part(8), a display(9), an alarm part(10), and a manipulating part(5). The heating part allows the cooking device to perform a hating operation for itself. The display allows a user to observe the operation state of the cooking device with the naked eye. The alarm part allows the user to recognize an erroneous state of the cooking device. The manipulation part allows the user to manipulate the cooking device. The cooking device includes a clock module, an antenna(2), a tuner(3), and a time information extraction part(4) when exact information about time is required. A memory(6) stores required information.
