An image forming apparatus is provided to prevent the inside of the image forming apparatus from being stained with ink by returning a cam mechanism to an original position after ink is pumped. An image forming apparatus comprises an ink cartridge detachably mounted on a body frame, a pump(30) installing on the ink cartridge, a pump driving unit(40) and a position control unit(50) for returning the pump driving unit to an original position. The pump driving unit includes a pump lever(41) provided with a fixed end(41a) and a free end(41b) and a cam mechanism(45). The fixed end is connected to the pump. The pump lever rotates around a shaft(42). The cam mechanism allows the pump lever to rotate.
