PURPOSE: A boom position control system for construction equipment is provided to reduce the number of components and reduce raw material costs and to simplify a system. CONSTITUTION: A boom position control system for construction equipment comprises position retaining units(21,22), first and second identifying unit, and a position detecting sensor(40), and a controller(50). The position retaining unit maintains the position of a boom operating lever(12) which has risen or descended by the manipulation. The position retaining unit comprises first and second electromagnets. The first and the second identifying unit restrict the first location and the second position for restricting the ascent and descent position of the boom after the installation of the boom. The position detecting sensor senses the first and second recognition parts. The controller outputs control signals to the first and second electromagnets to stop the ascent and descent of the boom. |
