Cosmetic or pharmaceutical composition comprises a hydrolyzate peptide of vine leaves ( Vitis vinifera) (I) as a cytochrome c activator, alone or in combination with at least one other active ingredient, in a medium. An independent claim is included for preparing the composition comprising dissolving (I) in one or more solvents comprising water, glycerol, ethanol, propylene glycol, butylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, ethoxylated or propoxylated diglycols, cyclic polyols, petroleum jelly and/or vegetable oil. ACTIVITY : Dermatological; Antidiabetic. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Cytochrome c activator; Cytochrome oxidase activator. The ability of (I) to activate cytochrome oxidase was tested in human fibroblast. The result showed that cytochrome oxidase increased to 750% after 24 hours of treatment with (I).
