PURPOSE: A method for controlling switching of image output in a broadcasting receiver is provided to automatically switch image output of a main viewing screen and a sub viewing screen according to an advertisement image detecting result, thereby effectively satisfying service satisfaction. CONSTITUTION: Image signals of two broadcasting channels are outputted on one screen configured by two division screens(202). An image signal of one division screen is monitored(204). It is checked whether the monitored image signal is an advertisement image(206). If the image signal is the advertisement image, one division screen and another division screen are switched(208). If an advertisement is completed, the image output switching state is recovered(216). |
