The air supply system comprises an air cleaner for treating the atmospheric air of the cabin, and a device for intermittent regeneration of the air. The regenerative device comprises a device for heating the air cleaner by the energy of combustion gas. The heating device comprises a device for heat exchange between a first actuated state in which the device transfers heat towards the air cleaner from an evacuation pipe in a regeneration zone and a second state in which the air cleaner is thermally insulated from the evacuation pipe to provide an air treatment. The air supply system comprises an air cleaner for treating the atmospheric air of the cabin, and a device for intermittent regeneration of the air. The regenerative device comprises a device for heating the air cleaner by the energy of combustion gas. The heating device comprises a device for heat exchange between a first actuated state in which the device transfers heat towards the air cleaner from an evacuation pipe in a regeneration zone and a second state in which the air cleaner is thermally insulated from the evacuation pipe to provide an air treatment. The heat exchange device comprises a movable heat pipe. A part of the heat exchange device is moved between a first position in which the device is present in its first state and a second position in which the device is present in its second state by breaking the thermal contact between the parts to be displaced and another portion of the heating device along a path of heat transfer from the evacuation pipe towards the cleaner. The regeneration device comprises a heating piece, which is distant from the evacuation pipe and connected to the heat vent when the heat exchange device is present in its first position. The heating part is in contact with the active substance of the cleaner so as to directly heat the active substance, and comprises a frame in which the active substance is located and a radiator for heating a sweep gas of the cleaner during regeneration. An independent claim is included for a process for regenerating an air treatment filter placed inside a motor vehicle.
