<p>PURPOSE: A polarizer and a method of fabrication is provided to improve the efficiency of a polarizer by manufacturing the polarizer through a simple process. CONSTITUTION: A polarizer comprises a substrate member(10), a metal layer(12), a plurality of metallic projections(16), and a plurality of metal trenches(17). A metal layer is deposited on a one-side of the substrate member. A plurality of metallic projections are formed on the metal layer. A plurality of metal trenches are interposed between a plurality of metallic projections. The width of the metal trench and thickness and height of the metal projection are related to the wavelength of light.</p> |
