<p>The ventilation device to be positioned at a bottom of a pool (4) of material to be treated, comprises a self-supporting conduit (2) for the distribution of process gas, and diffusers (10) fixed on the distribution conduit for the flow of process gas in the form of bubbles. The distribution conduit consists of a material having high density, and forms a ballast for maintaining the aeration device at the bottom of pool. The conduit is formed by a block of material traversed through a longitudinal hole and radial holes, and is produced by molding.
