Lavatory support accessory comprising a structure to support the user of a lavatory, the accessory having a back piece to support the lavatory lid in the raised position, characterised in that the back piece has a resilient flange or fold to produ ce interference with the opening movement of the lid in such a way that said flange or fold must be deformed for the lid to make contact with the back piece.
