METHOD FOR SEARCHING TELEPHONE BOOK

PURPOSE: A telephone number searching method is provided to perform automatic character string conversion and telephone number searching according to key input without additional previous manipulation, thereby simplifying user of a telephone. CONSTITUTION: In input waiting state of a telephone number, combination of special characters and numbers are inputted through a key of a phone. In Korean input mode, the combination is converted to a Korean character string. The Korean character string is searched in a telephone directory. The searched telephone number is displayed on a screen. According to request of a user, a phone call is made by the combination of the special characters and numbers or the telephone number.
