PURPOSE: An automatic brightness control method of a mobile terminal for night and a system thereof are provided to automatically control screen brightness of the mobile terminal, thereby conveniently controlling screen brightness. CONSTITUTION: Circumference brightness of a mobile terminal is detected through an optical sensor. An illuminance information collection unit(110) collects illuminance information about the circumference brightness. A brightness mode appointment unit(130) collects date information and time information in a preset cycle. The brightness mode appointment unit designates a brightness mode for screen brightness control of the mobile terminal. The brightness adjust unit(150) adjusts screen brightness of the mobile terminal by output of brightness value information corresponding to the designated brightness mode.
