PATCH ANTENNA FOR TAG AND RFID TAG EMPLOYING THE PATCH ANTENNA

A patch antenna for tag is provided. The communication distance of the patch antenna is not impaired even if the patch antenna is attached to an object or a metal containing liquid, and is provided with a convenient and low cost structure. A tag for RFID employing the patch antenna is also provided. The patch antenna (3) for tag comprises a slit (5) formed in the vicinity of the edge of an antenna pattern along a portion (6 (6a, 6b)) thereof, and a feeding point to an LSI for tag formed by cutting the middle part of a portion (6) of the edge spaced apart from the body of the antenna pattern (3) by the width of the slit (5). The patch antenna (3) for tag and the LSI (4) for tag connected with the feeding point are molded of a resin body (2b) such as PET into card-shape and bonded to a general purpose resin substrate (7) available on the market as a dielectric through adhesive (9), and a conductive film (8) is applied to the side of the general purpose resin substrate (7) opposite to the adhesive surface.
