FIELD: engines and pumps. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fan production and can be used in agricultural and industrial production. Proposed transverse fan comprises housing with inlet hole and outlet branch pipe separated by flat wall furnished with louvered grille, and impeller accommodated in said housing. Note that fan housing louvre section, right beyond inlet edge, features length equal to 0.4 of impeller outer diametre D2. Continuous plane is arranged above the housing inlet edge terminating on fan housing, beyond said louvre section to form wedge-like suction channel with its start section located on fan housing inlet edge. Note here that aforesaid continuous plane is pivoted to movable ("breaking") plane located above fan impeller nearby wedge-like suction channel inlet and pivoted, on its opposite end, to fan inlet branch pipe wall. Note also that mode selector handle is arranged at central pivot joints of aforesaid movable plane. ^ EFFECT: stable operation in whatever operating conditions. ^ 1 dwg |
