Plasticised plastic is cast under vacuum into a mould for making honeycomb. The mould consists of a number of deep troughs which cross each other. Before the plastic is cast into this mould reinforcing material is placed into it for example, glass fibres, textiles, wires and other material. The reinforcing material may, however, be already embedded into plastic material before casting. The mould can be made from a self-supporting plastic sheet. |
