PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive charge type charge control agent which is sharp in rising of electrostatic charge even under conditions of a high temperature and high humidity and is excellent in stability of positive charge type electrostatic charge and an electrophotographic positive charge type toner containing the same. SOLUTION: The positive charge type charge control agent is expressed by general formula (1) (where X and Y are respectively independently phenoxy groups, benzyl groups, or benzyloxy groups which may be substituted in 1 to 2 with C1-C8 alkyl groups or C1-C4 alkoxy groups and Z represents a bonding group of any among C1-C2 saturated or unsaturated alkylene, imide, sulfonyl, carbonyl amide, carbonyl, oxy, thio, or sulfonyl amide) and the electrophotographic toner contains at least one charge control agent expressed by general formula (1).
