THE INITIAL PRODUCT OF POTASSIUM TETRATITANATE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF LITHIUM TITANATE FIBER AND THE LITHIUM TITANATE FIBER

PURPOSE: An initial product of potassium tetratitanate and a manufacturing method of lithium titanate fiber and, the lithium titanate fiber manufactured by the same are provided to produce a safe battery with high capacity compared to common spinel lithium titanate. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing an initial product of potassium tetratitanate comprises the following steps of: mixing TiO2 and K2CO3 at a ratio of 2.6-3.0 to 1; pulverizing the mixture with the presence of acetone in a ball mill for 20-26 hours; drying it at the temperature of 80-100°C; crystallizing it at the temperature of 1000-1200°C for 2-5 hours; and producing the initial product of potassium tetratitanate.
