<p>A shower unit having a shower tray (8) from which an enclosure (10) upstands. The tray (8) has a bowl with a bottom surrounded by an upstanding surround translated at its upper edge into a substantially horizontal surrounding ledge (14). The ledge (14) is translated into a downwardly extending skirt (16) in which the tray (8) is provided with a rim (12) around the outer side(s) of the surrounding ledge (14) at its translation into the skirt (16). The enclosure (10) is positioned inward of the rim (12) to form a collecting passage between the rim (12) and enclosure (10) to collect any water leaking from the enclosure (10). Primary and secondary drainage means are provided to allow the said water to drain back into the bowl of the tray (8).
