PURPOSE: A digital broadcasting receiver and a channel map arrangement method thereof for rearranging the edited channel map after editing the scanned channels are provided to watch the same broadcasting in a logical channel number by automatically rearranging the logical channel number. CONSTITUTION: A digital broadcast receiver includes a channel information extraction unit(130), a channel map storing unit(140), and a microprocessor(170). The channel information extraction unit extracts the channel information including a logical channel number in broadcast signal from a plurality of transmitting unit. The channel map storing unit stores the channel map and includes an extension channel area. The microprocessor controls the channel map is displayed in an on-screen. The same broadcast as the deleted logical channel number is extracted from the extended channel area the specific logical channel number is deleted it edits of the channel map displayed in an on-screen. |
