PURPOSE: A clothes treating device and a control method thereof are provided to remove creasing, odor or humidity from the clothes by supplying the hot air or the steam to the clothes. CONSTITUTION: A control method of a clothes treating device comprises followings. The water in a steam generator is heated to be supplied to the clothes(S20). The heated water is transferred through a drainage path connected with the steam generator(S30A). The water stays in a storage mounted at the drainage path for fixed time in order to disinfect the storage(S40A). The storage collects the condensed water of the steam inside the device and l water within the steam generator.
