PURPOSE: A data receiving apparatus is provided to restore a clock signal smoothly by using a strobe signal from a transmission signal in which the strobe signal is inserted into the clock signal and the data signal. CONSTITUTION: In a data receiving apparatus, a strobe signal is inserted into data signal by a different size from data signal. The clock signal having the same size of data signal is followed by the strobe signal. A strobe signal extracting unit extracts the strobe signal from a received transmission signal. A clock restoring unit(220) restores a clock signal from the transmit signal by using the extracted strobe signal. A sampler(230) samples data signal in the transmission signal in response to the restored clock signal.
