PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent the signal delay which is caused by the capacitive coupling between a common voltage line and a data line. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device comprises a substrate, plural gate lines(121), plural data lines, a common voltage line(176), plural thin film transistors and plural pixel electrodes(191). The gate lines are formed on the substrate. The data lines cross the gate lines. The common voltage line is formed in the same layer as the data lines. The thin film transistors are connected to the gate lines and data lines. The pixel electrodes are connected to the thin film transistors and are arranged in a matrix form.
