PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vehicular steering device capable of certainly informing a system abnormal condition to a driver, and urging the driver to carry a vehicle in a service center, when a failure or a malfunction occurs in a system. SOLUTION: When a failure detecting means 9 detects a failure of a member constituting a steer-by-wire type steering device, a reaction coefficient is increased by a reaction coefficient setting means 27, and a reaction force making the operation of a steering wheel heavy is gradually applied from a reaction generating motor 5 on a steering wheel.
