PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic adsorber of structure easy to remove an electrostatic charge belt and possible to remove consumables such as a cleaning Mylar (R), and to provide an image forming device such as an ink jet recording device using the same. SOLUTION: A recording paper conveying device 3 as an electrostatic adsorber is unitized, and structured of an electrostatic charge unit 83 formed by wrapping a conveying belt 31 around a driven roller 33 and a conveying roller 32 and a separating claw holding unit 84 structured separately from the electrostatic charge unit 83 freely to be attached/detached to/from the electrostatic charge unit 83. The separating claw holding unit 84 is provided with a holding base 87 structured of a plate-like base part 85 to be guided for movement when fitting to the electrostatic charge unit 83 and a stopper part 86 for deciding fitting position. The base part 85 is provided with a separating claw holding part 88 provided with a plurality of separating claws 37 for peeling the recording paper from the conveying belt 31.
