PURPOSE: A digital optical repeater-separable optical switching apparatus is provided to make the manual replacement of an SU possible. CONSTITUTION: An automatic optical cable switching system of a digital optical repeater SU comprises an SU, an optical switch, and an automatic optical cable switching device. The SU consists of plural optical modules(20) and a preliminary optical module which are connected with each remote. The optical switch(22) is connected to plural optical modules. The automatic optical cable switching device comprises a control unit. The control unit checks the state of optical modules and controls the switching state of the optical switch. |
